The chemistry and microbiology group offer a wide range of accredited tests for monitoring and assessment of water quality from a wide range of sample sources. Both laboratories are accredited to IANZ ISO17025, Ministry of Health and LAS.
The Chemistry and Microbiology groups specialise in the analysis of:

- Bore and surface waters
- Landfills and Leachates
- Potable Water
- Sewage
- Storm water
- Swimming Pools
- Trade Waste
- Cooling Towers
Some typical examples of the types of tests performed are: pH, Turbidity, Chlorine, Fluoride, Ammonia, Metals, E.Coli, etc.
CEL has a great deal of knowledge and experience in environmental monitoring and can assist in regulatory matters such as resource consent monitoring.
We also have the ability to perform specialised chemical tests that are not accredited.
